Enterline Immigration Consulting affiliate obtained another CR-1 immigrant visa by filing an expedited I-130 Petition for Alien Relative with the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City (“Consulate”) through Direct Consular Filing (“DCF”).

The petitioner, a U.S. citizen, and the beneficiary, a British citizen, were married in Vietnam and had received job offers requiring their immediate relocation back to the United States. Despite movement control restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the attorney worked diligently with the petitioner and beneficiary to prepare the case and request the Consulate to accept the I-130 Petition, bypassing the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS”).

The entire process from submitting the DCF request to immigrant visa issuance took one month as opposed to the current trend which is anywhere from 12-18 months if an I-130 Petition is filed with USCIS.

Married U.S. citizens living in Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and across Asia who have an immediate need to return to the United States are encouraged to contact us at info@enterimmi.com and speak with a U.S. immigration attorney in Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, and Taipei.
