Effective immediately, U.S. citizens abroad will no longer be able to travel to the United States on expired passports. Previously, the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency (“CBP”) allowed U.S. citizens to enter the United States on expired passports and CBP extended policy through March 2022.
U.S. citizens abroad with expired passports are encouraged to contact their nearest Embassy or Consulate to schedule an appointment for a passport renewal.
For more information or if you have questions about this change of policy, please contact us at info@enterimmi.com and speak with a U.S. immigration attorney in Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Manila.
